copyight

In the case Marie Ballantine as guardian of the estate of William ballantine, the person who originally secured the copyright on musical compositions died before he could apply the renewal. The one child that he has doesn’t know if she is entitled to the copyright.  But the court agreed that both the child and the widow could share that copyright. Also the widow believes that she should be able to renew the copyright during her lifetime.  The supreme court granted her the wish and she was able tp have the copyright over the music.
